Blog Post: Take Flight This Fall

flight

Isaiah 58:14 says, “I will cause you to ride on the heights of the land.”

One of the first rules of aerodynamics is that flying into the wind increases altitude. A lesson we learn by watching birds fly as well. If a bird is simply flying for pleasure, it flies with the wind. But if is senses danger, it turns into the wind to gain altitude, and flies up toward the sun (or SON). The sufferings of life are God’s winds. Sometimes they blow against us and are very strong. But, they take us to new levels, toward the Heavens.

Matthew 17:20 says, “Nothing will be impossible for you.” Is it possible for believers who are completely willing to trust in the POWER of the Lord to lead a life of taking risks?  Of taking Flight?

Is it possible to daily “cast all your anxiety on HIM”? (1 Peter 5:7)
Is it possible to have our thoughts and the desires of our hearts purified? (Psalms 51:10)
Is it possible to see God’s will in every circumstance and accept it without complaining? (Philippians 4:11-12)
It is possible to become strong through and through by completely taking refuge in the POWER of God at work within us – where in our weakness HE is strong? (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Is it possible to take Flight with our Heavenly Father?  Do I mean literally on a yoga mat, maybe?  Maybe not?  But metaphorically, YES!  All of these are DIVINE POSSIBILITIES. Because they are HIS work, and actually experiencing them will always humble us, causing us to BOW (or FOLD) at HIS feet.

We will never be satisfied with anything less, than TAKING FLIGHT WITH GOD. And by the way, Wild Geese always take off into the wind as well.
