...healing happens here.
Thomas R. Kelly captured my attention by describing my condition and the condition of so many I knew perfectly: “We feel honestly the pull of many obligations and try to fulfill them all. And we are unhappy, uneasy, strained, and oppressed, and fearful we shall be shallow.” I had to confess I understood these words all too well. Exhausted by a hectic schedule of good, noble, and beautiful things – yoga included, yet too much of even a good thing is not good for long. To all those looking on we appear confident and in command, but inwardly we are tired and scattered. Then my eyes met with wonder and yearning these words of hope and promise: “We have hints that there is a way of life vastly richer and deeper than all this hurried existence, a time of unhurried serenity and peace and power. If only we could slip over into that Center!”

Reflections of the Season
Friday, December 3, 2021
"Hustle and bustle, merry and bright..." That is how the world does Christmas, but God does Christmas as a tiny baby in a manger—"The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (John 1:14) The gift becomes a tiny baby. The Giver became the gift. During what has become one of the busiest times of the year, the one thing you may need more than anything else - and perhaps the greatest gift of all - would be the gift of time alone with Christ, sitting at His feet in the sacred privacy of his blessed presence. (Psalm 91:1)
December’s Day Retreat offers just that ~ a time to capture Christmas in our hearts. You are invited to breathe, ponder, sit, lie, linger, hush, and know THE GIFT–to know Jesus. Luke 2:19 says, “But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.” Let us not neglect the practice of treasuring up this season and rejoicing in Jesus. This day is designed to walk you through the Love Story of Christmas, surrounded by an atmosphere of worship, yoga, meditation, and prayer. Come Reflect, Respond and Rejoice in this scared season.
